receives instruction himself without lessening mine;
as he who lights his taper at mine,
receives light without darkening me.»
Thomas Jefferson, Letter to Isaac McPherson

Epistemowikia
Epistemowikia is more than a wiki encyclopedia, it is the Free/Libre & Open Hyperencyclopedia, and alive. It is a collaborative project, about Free/Libre & Open hyperknowledge (FLOHK). It was born at the University of Extremadura (UEx) and it is located at CALA, the Free/Libre & Open Campus, currently hosted by the Online Campus of the UEx, from which it also receives an invaluable support. Epistemowikia is a project of collective inteligence, useful sharing and knowledge communal creation, in which everybody is invited to participate.
By a FLOK work we mean any piece of knowledge published in accordance to licenses or multi-licenses, such as the most of those recognized by the Free Software Foundation (FSF), Open Source Initiative (OSI), Creative Commons, etc. We call them FLOK licenses. The minimum necessary standard for a license to be a FLOK license means that under a non-profit framework people should copy, distribute, display, and perform one original work, in any form or by any means, all over the world and without any time limit. Some FLOK licenses allow people to use the work also for commercial purposes and/or to make derivative works. In this last case, the distribution of the resulting work under a license identical to the one under which the original work was published, is demanded by some licenses (e.g. copyleft and share alike licenses). Public Domain and "Suidad" (his/herfulness) are also FLOK licenses.
FLOK licenses' scope and effects are always subject to copyright legislations currently in force. In particular no FLOK license may impair or restrict the author's moral rights. We do not consider as FLOK licenses those ones which restrict the former necessary minimum standard or other of the reference principles to some environment or geographic or political zone.
